The Ibovespa climbed for a second straight day as retailer Lojas Americanas SA and meatpacker JBS SA led gains after posting earnings that beat estimates.
Education company GAEC Anima Educacao SA had its biggest gain this month after reporting quarterly results. Homebuilder MRV Engenharia & Participacoes SA rose to a one-week high.
The Ibovespa advanced 0.6 percent to 53,297.77 at 10:21 a.m. in Sao Paulo. Thirty of the 50 companies on the equity benchmark that have already reported third-quarter earnings beat forecasts, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The real was little changed at 2.5679 per dollar.
