Ibovespa futures advanced, following two days of losses for the equity index, as higher commodities prices boosted the outlook for Brazilian raw-material exporters.
CPFL Energias Renovaveis SA (CPRE3) may move after Morgan Stanley rated the wind-farm owner to the equivalent of buy in new coverage. Insurance broker Brasil Insurance Participacoes e Administracao SA may be active after it was cut to the equivalent of hold at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Ibovespa futures contracts expiring in October added 0.2 percent to 49,580 at 9:33 a.m. in Sao Paulo. The real weakened less than 0.1 percent to 2.3729 per dollar. The Standard & Poor’s GSCI index of 24 raw materials climbed 0.8 percent as speculation that the U.S. and allies are on the threshold of launching a military strike against Syria spurred gains in oil and precious metals.
